Introduction:

In Unit 2 we will be looking at the Sinhala equivalent of the Simple Present tense. This is the tense we use in English to talk about our daily routines for example: I wake up at 6 o'clock and then I go to the river and bathe!

So, in this unit you will learn to say what you generally do or don't do. You will also learn to ask people questions about their daily life. We will also be looking at how to tell the time.

There are a few instances when I have needed to use the Sinhala script directly on the webpages so you will need to install the Sinhala Font. Get it from the Downloads page.
